I'm sorry to have not blogged for so long. Things went well finishing up and I now have a Ph.D. I think my failure to blog has something to do with the fact that I have been very remiss about modding--reluctant to take on another big project so soon after finishing *the* big project. I must also say that, now that the initial glow has passed, Dragon Age has not been quite the muse that NWN2 was, in part because of the difficult toolset, for sure, but also because the DA mythology isn't grabbing ahold. Then there was that Russell Crowe movie which kind of ruined Robin Hood for me, even though I didn't see it.

What's been happening in the DA community? What about the NWN2 community? Are there any mods that I should check out? I have been out of the loop and lazy about following the news. I think the most promising title on the horizon with modding potential is Stardock's Elemental: War of Magic, a strategy/RPG hybrid which looks to have a very capable and adaptable engine, nice design, and versatility.

I'm starting get anxious about having finished. There's an unpleasant apathy that sets in after a big victory, and I'd like to have a compelling project to snap out of it. The Black Fox might not be that project. Bron's Daughter is probably not that project. What, then?

Just found this video of LOTR meets NWN2. Absolute nonsense, but hilarious. Casting is perfect, for the most part. Reminds me that the OC was finely written and acted. I should play it again someday soon, but busy right now playtesting Wyrin's latest, and playing through every Guitar Hero and Rock Band game I can find on ebay for less than 10 $, shipping included.
